Initial appointments will try to determine the exact cause of pain / restriction by using a comprehensive subjective assessment and a detailed physical examination.
Treatment will then be provided in order to improve symptoms and a personalised rehabilitation programme will be issued (where appropriate) to help individuals self manage symptoms and prevent future onset.
Claire has over 18 years experience treating Musculoskeletal injuries. She has worked in a variety of settings including Elite sports teams, Multidisciplinary Sports Medicine companies and within the NHS. This background enables her to provide comprehensive assessments and personalised treatment plans for her patients.
She has an interest in lower limb rehabilitation, multi ligament knee reconstructions such as ACL / PCL / MCL / LCL and meniscal Injuries as well as upper limb, hand and wrist.
She has two young children and currently sees patients on a part time basis in Oxted alongside her work at Acer House Practice (Farningham).
Claire Belcourt offers a full comprehensive assessment for all Musculoskeletal injuries. Over the years she has worked with elite sports teams helping athletes return to International Football, Rugby & Netball.
She also has extensive experience treating patients who have undertaken surgery (total knee / hip replacements, fracture stabilisation and joint replacement surgeries) and has a special interest in hands and wrist injuries.
Her NHS and private practice experience enables her to see a variety of other conditions such as back / neck pain, foot ankle biomechanics and also pregnancy (pre and post natal).
We offer specialist custom made splinting for hand and wrist injuries.
Examples of when a splint may be issued includes following a fracture or joint dislocation, for carpal tunnel syndrome, dequervains tendinopathy, thumb osteoarthritis and after surgery.
We are happy to announce the opening of Claire Belcourt Physiotherapy in Oxted, Surrey. Home visits may be available to post op patients (subject to availability) providing they are no more than 20 mins away from the practice. Clinic appointments are available mid and can be booked via email or telephone.
